SOFUOGLU FIFTH AT MOST IN RACE 2! TUULI CLOSES TENTH

NEWS & PRESS

Another great performance by the drivers of the MV Agusta Reparto Corse team who both excelled on the last day of racing at the Most circuit. Bahattin Sofuoglu closed the warm up with a splendid second position showing great pace, while Niki Tuuli finished the morning practice in fifteenth place in a very short ranking as usual. Race 2 which saw both drivers start with the intention of recovering as many positions as possible to repeat the double top ten achieved in Race 1. Bahattin and Niki started their comeback right away, coming close to the top ten just after a few laps of the race. The Turkish driver managed to stay attached to the group of drivers fighting for the top five and managed to maintain his very fast pace. Thanks to his frenetic speed, Sofuoglu managed to overtake Caricasulo on the thirteenth lap then stabilized himself in fifth position. After that he maintained his position until the red flag interruption on the fifteenth lap. Superb performance for Bahattin and to reach the Top Five for the first time and winner of the WorldSSP Challenge. Niki, after a good start, was unable to maintain contact with the group of fastest drivers but he managed to play his cards right to accomplish a new top ten. Objective achieved, with the Finnish driver returning after two races and almost two months to finish Race 2 in tenth position. Good performance for Tuuli, who could not have imagined a return already at such a high level. Now there will be the summer break, with the riders of the Supersport World Championship meeting on the track in the first week of September at the Magny Cours circuit

Race2 P10
Yesterday I gave the race everything but today in the warm up I was a bit tired. It was more difficult than yesterday and I aimed to finish the race without making any mistakes. I tried to overtake some drivers but in the various gear changes my foot started to hurt and I didn't want to risk it. I’m glad to be back! I thank the guys and the team for their work. I am sure we will grow together when I am 100% again "

“I wanted to try something new during the Warm up, and I felt much better. I am really happy. In the race started well. I pushed hard for all the laps and I managed to maintain good pace and finish in the top five. I thank the whole team and Andrea Quadranti for his trust and commitment from the start of the season to today”.
